In the past months, Amber Van Day has repeatedly proven her talent for creating perfect pop moments with songs such as “See You In Tears” with Ilira, “Touch” or the urban pop banger “Uh Oh”. She also had collaborations with artists like Hugel, Martin Jensen, Alok, Wilkinson, Younotus, the British top producers Goodboys (Meduza / Piece Of My Heart) and most recently her co-writing for Joel Cory, Jax Jones (Out Out feat. Charlie XCX & Saweetie) as well as Ava Max, Jonas Blue and R3HAB (Sad Boy).
But above all, the charismatic singer and songwriter has created mesmerizing pop anthems that tell authentic stories with universal topics, that reflect the tricky ups and downs of relationships and give the little challenges of everyday life a center stage. Now Amber Van Day is back with her new single “Good Morning”, releasing an uplifting motivation and energy booster that actually has its origins in Berlin.
“I wrote Good Morning in Berlin. I was really struggling with my head at that time, in a bad relationship, found it so hard to even get out of bed. The title started off as a bit of a joke, I was imagining a scene from a Disney film waking up in the morning swinging the windows open singing to the birds. It’s super ironic“, Amber Van Day remembers the beginning of “Good Morning”. But the 25-year-old’s songs are always about telling a way out of the jungle, sometimes hopeful, sometimes tough, but always 100% Amber Van Day.
This becomes all the more clear on “Good Morning”, which simply carries you away musically – and the multi-talented Briton explains the effect as follows: “It is kind of healing because sometimes, if I put on a brave face and fake a confidence, it can actually turn my mood around. Like I’m in my own sort of movie and then I start to believe it! It’s funny and delusional but it works.”
So turn up the volume, dance, sing along and start the day with Amber Van Day and “Good Morning”!
